Love Is What Matters Most

I Corinthians 13:3
If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body the the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.

This is so powerful, no matter what you do, say or believe if you don't have love it's worth nothing.

In 2 John 1:6 He talks about love means living the way God commanded us to live.......living a life of love.
God is love and the most important lesson he wants us to learn on earth is how to love. He said it so well in one command: "Love others as you love yourself."

"Love is so powerful and amazing, if we all would just give more love out it will come back to us more than we could even imagine. I have proof, and it's so wonderful! Thank you God for all the blessing and gifts you've given me in my life." Give more love out today and watch what happens, Donna

Loving yourself

When we approve of ourselves exactly as we are, then everything in life works. Self-approval and self-acceptance in the now are the main keys to positive changes in every area of our lives. When we approve of ourselves, we don't need to seek it from other people because it will no longer matter what other people think. Ironically as it sounds, when you stop looking for acceptance and find it in your own self, that's when it comes pouring in from all around you. It's the law of the universe. The universe gives us more of what we feel and if we feel accepted by our own self and if we approve of our own self and if we love our own self for the wonderful person we are... then.... wa-la.... we get what we feel and put out to the world.

Feel good people... and you'll get good in return.

Have a wonderful week and love the person that you are... there is no one like the beauty that you are.

LIFE HANDBOOK 2010

HEALTH:

1. Drink plenty of water.

14. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
15. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip.
16. Dream more while you are awake.

20. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present.

You can heal your own life

How many of us count on other people for our happiness. Count on other people for our rewards. Count on other people to validate ourselves. Just count on other people. It's time to start counting yourself.

If you haven't yet, I recommend you renting or buying the book; You Can Heal Your Life or get the DVD by Louise L. Hay. If your stuck and forgot how to love the person you are. If you find your self complaining all the time, then STOP right now and somehow get this book and read it.

Life get's so busy with all the "stuff" that we forget we are creating our own future by what we think and do... don't create Madness in you life. Create only good... and it starts by thinking only GOOD. It's really easy once you start.

Try this, write the words, "I am happy" or "I am enough", or "I am beautiful", or "I am at peace", on your hand ( I know, give yourself a temporary tattoo) but do it, and look at it and say it to yourself with all the convention you can muster up and say it all day long, and before you realized it you'll be what you asked to be. The MIND is the most powerful tool we have, it's time to learn how to use it.

Have a wonderful week and, be happy, enough, beautiful, and at peace with the Fabulous person you are!

A mind retreat and enjoying your own company

Some people have a hard time being alone. But honestly, you are your own best friend. You’re, your biggest fan. You’re the only one that knows what you need. You and you alone can make yourself happy, and if you can’t, if these words don’t make since to you, then its time to learn how to be your own best friend.

Did you know you have a whole world to be discovered? It lives within you. Your mind is a wanderers place that has yet to be discovered. It’s up to you. Be honest with yourself. What is it you want? Spend some time soul searching. Sit out-side in the fresh air, take a walk and learn to talk to you. Ask yourself what it is that you want. Where do you see yourself going? Who is the person that you strive to be?

Its called soul searching, spend a weekend or a day in a “mind retreat”. If you’ve been wasting your time walking from room to room and driving from store to store thinking that this next purchase will be the one to fill the void and fill your time, but within the hour of buying what it is that you just bought you find yourself back to square one, “what will I do next”, then my dear friend, it’s time for some soul searching. Often we have no one to blame but us; we’re the ONLY ones that can change our lives. It starts with ONE step at a time. Like that old Christmas cartoon… “Put one foot in front of the other and soon you’ll be walking out the door”. It’s time to take charge of you life. Did you know it’s harder to take charge of your life; the easy way out is to sit and pout.

Start with a mind retreat. Be honest with yourself. Get paper and pen out and write down what you want from your life. Make a list. Let me help you. Share with me what you want on your list and I’ll help you figure out how best to accomplish it. It’s sharing time, open up and share. Post a commit or send a e-mail. We'll complie a list of what you want, and how to best get it.

Enjoy your retreat

The Power of Purpose

Psalms 20:4

May He grant you according to your heart's desire, And fulfill all your purpose. (NKJV)

There is a difference between making a living and making a life. It's time that we all start making our lives count, it's time to make a difference, it's time to show someone you care.
Will you please take some time today to ask God what He want for you and for your life, so that you may fulfill your purpose. I know He will be faithful and answer by opening those door that you are to walk through and close the ones that you are to leave behind.

Are you ready to make a difference? Are you ready to make a change? I'm ready! "Here am I God, send me!"
If we all do our part, this world would be a better place. Hope your day is great! Donna

January 2010 Your Life Purpose and Path for 2010 by Doreen Virtue

If 2009 felt like a long and arduous journey, you’re not alone! It was a year of learning life lessons, sometimes painfully. Many of these were lessons from past lifetimes, and they usually involved themes of taking responsibility for your actions and choices, practicing compassion and forgiveness toward yourself and others, speaking your truth with love, and learning how to balance your life. 2010 promises to bring in welcome changes, provided that you’ve released old toxic energies. The blue moon of New Year’s Eve is a powerful time to declare your intentions aloud or in writing of: “This is what I intend to release, and this is what I intend to welcome into my life.” Ideally, list your intentions outdoors or next to an open window with the moonlight bathing you. I’ve had miraculous manifestations occur when I hand-write (as opposed to type or just think about) my New Year’s intentions. Several times, I’ve found my lists and everything that I’d written came true . . .even though I had doubts when I wrote them initially. There’s great power in writing your intentions, especially hand-writing which involves your whole body and personal energy much more than typing. If you feel like you’re starting a new chapter of your life, congratulations, as this is a perfect and pivotal time for new ventures. Although these changes may feel intimidating or even frightening, please know that you’re fully supported as you focus upon one step at a time on your journey.

Happy New Year

Well I have to admit that I am the type of person that gets down during the winter. I have to try very hard to keep my chin up during the holidays...although on the other hand, I am a big kid when it comes to Christmas!!!! I think I still believe in Santa...even though I am the one putting the gifts under the tree. So, the holidays are almost over but the cold and gloomy weather lingers on...I am thankful that I have my wonderful friends to keep my spirits up for my husband, my children and, of course, for myself!

Advice for the New Year??? Well, like Deb said, "Be thankful for everything you have, everyday!"

Wishing you all a very Happy New Year...God Bless you all!!!

The end of 2009

The end of 2009

Everyone will be positing great advise on how best to end the 2009-year and how to begin the 2010-year. Well, guess I’m going to give you my two cents worth too. After all, I wouldn’t be a good “Angel” if I didn’t.

Honestly thou, I wish you all the best that life can bring. I wish you peace and happiness of heart, mind and soul. If you have that, then everything else will come.

My best advise for you is, just be thankful everyday for something and once you start to be thankful for something you’ll soon start to be thankful for everything. It’s like that feeling you get when you hear praise for the first time for doing something right. It’s addicting to be told you’re awesome, beautiful, smart, talented, pretty, and perfect just the way you are. A complement is appreciation and acceptance from one person to another. Being in a thankful frame of mind is a complement, appreciation and acceptance to the universe. All things come from God and our universe. If you want more, be thankful for what you have now. Don’t worry about what you don’t have. God will bless you and take care of you if you have a thankful heart.

Be happy

Happy Christmas

Well, Christmas is here. I’ve been absent from posting because I did what I said I was going to do.

I’ve been sitting and enjoying my tree with family and friends.

I wrote in each and every Christmas card and even reconnected with a long lost friend. WOW…. Now that’s a wonderful Christmas gift.

I’ve taken myself out of the craziness of shoppers. Yes, I did shop, but I did it in the AM before the rush came about. And, let me tell you, that’s the best time. Everyone is still happy and unstressed and it’s very enjoyable.

I wish you all a wonderful time doing what ever your family does on Christmas morning. Remember to appreciate and enjoy the little things in life, and it’s Christmas… go ahead and have a second piece of pie.

Love to you all

Deb

Where you are going is much more important than where you have been!

I read this little saying today and it really hit home because things haven't always been great in my life, I've had a lot of challenges along the way and that's okay because that doesn't really matter it where I am headed now that counts. I hope this helps you look beyond you circumstance and start heading in the direction that God has directed you to go. It's time to live life and the time is now!
Have a fabulous day! Donna

Are we being tested

Are we being tested?

Are we being tested when we walk buy a person in need and don’t do anything? When you leave the supermarket and are asked for a donation, are we being tested?

When we walk into a store and someone is coming out, are we being tested to open the door for him or her?

Are we being tested when we pass by a coworker that is crying to see if we’ll stop and lend a shoulder?

Are we being tested when we walk down the street and see trash on the street and don’t take the time to pick it up?

One day, a small boy asked a man to take him across the waters. Despite his small frame, the child’s weight nearly made this man collapse. The man asked the boy how he could weigh so much for being so small, and the boy told the man, “ it is because you are caring the weight of the world on your shoulders.” Upon reaching the riverbank, the boy revealed his true identity: He was Christ. The man was St. Christopher. Saint Christopher’s name means, bearer of Christ and is the protector of all who travel. The man did not think twice, he helped this child in need. This child turned out to be Christ.

While reading about this saint, I could not help but wonder, how many times we are tested each day to see if our actions will be Christ like.

It’s such a small thing to drop a dollar in the donation bucket at the store. Imagine if everyone did, we would feed the world.

It’s such a small thing to open the door for a stranger to let them pass that stranger could be Christ.

It’s such a small thing to stop and pause when we see someone in emotional need to lend them our shoulder or hand. That person in need may be Christ.

Are we being tested when we don’t stop and pick up trash on the ground when it’s staring at us in the face, after all, this world is the house of Christ. Do we not want to keep his home clean?

The point is, we never know when we are being tested so do good people.

Have a great day!

A New Day

December 1st 2009. WOW... where has this year gone? It seems the older I get the faster the days fly by. Every year we tell ourselves that, this is the year to do less and enjoy more. Let's try and make that happen this year. If you look back fifty or so years ago, gosh... it took so little to make someone happy. I remember watching Little House on the Prairie, at Christmas time, they were so grateful for a simple set of hand made mittens. Oh, for the simpler times.

My goal this year.

NOT to get caught up in the rush and craziness of the holiday season.

TO take time to hand-write in each and every Christmas card I send.

TO take time to sit and enjoy my tree.

This is simple little requests I ask of myself, but it's what I screw up most.

Enjoy the little things... and... let someone go in-front of you in the shopping line if they have fewer items...give them a smile and pay-it-forward.

Love
Deb

Daily Scripture

I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.
Philippians 3:14

If you press on through life doing the things God has put you on this earth to do, you will find the prize (Gifts) that God has for you. Don't ever give up because God's gifts are wonderful, I have experienced this first hand and it's great. Hope you receive your prize today. Donna
